I had a toddler and a newborn, and I was absolutely cooked. Gross. Milky. Feeling bigger than ever and just… uncomfortable in my skin. I thought I’d take a moment for myself—drop Gigi at daycare, pop baby Joe in the car, and go get a facial. He’d sleep, right? Perfect plan.
NOPE. He screamed the entire time. I sat up, put my maternity bra back on, paid for the facial I didn’t get, and left feeling worse than when I arrived. I got home, looked at my screaming newborn and busy toddler, and thought, So this is life now? Self-care is dead to me.
That Moment Stuck with Me.
If I couldn’t squeeze in a basic facial, how were other women managing it? Turns out, they weren’t. Most were just like me—busy, stressed, and putting self-care at the bottom of the list.
The Spark: Creating a Space for Busy Women
That’s when I started thinking: How can I create a space that makes self-care possible for women like me? Not just new mums, but anyone trying to juggle work, kids, health, ageing parents, and everything in between.
I wanted to build more than a salon. I wanted a destination for busy women—a place where they could take a deep breath, let go of life’s chaos, and leave feeling amazing.

Boss Lady
I’m a passionate hairstylist with 25 years of experience, specialising in cutting and styling. My journey started at Strugnell Cole in South Melbourne, where I fell in love with all things hair. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to meet and work with all kinds of incredible people (yes, even a few famous faces).
In 2010, I moved to Perth, where I found love with my husband, Tim. We’ve built a beautiful life with our two kids, Gigi (7) and Joe (6), and our dog, Apple. Today, I’m the proud owner of Glow on the Go in Nedlands—a salon built for women just like me: time-poor but craving fabulous hair without the fuss.
There’s no wanky hairdresser talk here—just real conversations, expert styling, and services designed to make you feel your absolute hottest in a time frame (and budget) that works for you.
It’s my passion, my vocation, and the reason I show up every day: helping women leave my salon feeling hotter, more confident, and more put-together than when they walked in.

Meet Samantha, our resident blonde whisperer and colour magician! With over 20 years in the hair game, she's a pro at creating dreamy, low-maintenance looks that scream effortlessly fabulous.
Samantha's all about bringing your hair goals to life--whether you want sun-kissed, lived-in vibes or something bold and creative, she's got you covered. Her mission? To make sure you leave the salon feeling like an absolute queen (or at least like you've just stepped out of a hair commercial).
When she's not wielding her magic in the salon, you'll find her chasing the sun by the ocean, hanging out with her boys, or sipping top-notch coffee (because life's too on O short for bad caffeine). She's also got a serious eye for interior design--so don't be surprised if she starts mentally rearranging your living room while foiling your highlights!
Maddie - Senior Stylist & Blow-Dry BOSS
If there's one thing Maddie knows, it's how to bring the bounce! With 4 years of experience and a passion for precision cuts, styling, and the ultimate bouncy blow-dry, she's got the magic touch to make you look and feel like a total glam goddess.
Maddie is all about creating effortlessly chic styles tailored just for you-whether that's a sleek, polished look or a full-volume, fresh- out-of-a-movie-scene blowout. Her secret? A keen eye for detail and an obsession with making every client feel fab and fierce.
When she's not working her magic in the salon, you'll find Maddie soaking up the sun at the beach, hanging out with her pup, or getting creative with crochet, knitting, sewing, and pottery (basically, she's a total DIY queen)
